The 2018 monsoon in India

Roads have been damaged, mobile phone networks are down and more than 150,000 people have been left homeless after unusually heavy rain this month in the Indian state of Kerala.


Floods are common in India during the monsoon season between June and September. But excessive rains this year has led to water levels in several major rivers to rise, leading to flooding in many parts of India. This year especially the state of Kerala has been hit
