Agung eruption

Mount Agung on Bali was already for two months in the news with swarms and phreatic explosions. But things have changed

Mt Agung on the early morning of the 26th of November. The reddish color is from the early sun.... no lava !
This weekend Agung started to erupt volcanic ashes and smoke. We may conclude this eruption has been magmatic, not phreatic. The eruption has a column of volcanic ash to a height of 3,000 m above the crater. The ash column is already now a problem for air traffic. Airlines have been issued a "red warning" about the danger of volcanic ash in the skies close to Bali
